| RCP SweeperScore™ is a sophisticated Excel spreadsheet application that quickly scores your bowling league sweepers or sweeper-like tournaments. It also handles singles and doubles events. It runs on a standard Windows PC outfitted with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, the basic applications in Microsoft Office. Many standard computers come with these applications already installed. The 2002 or later version of Excel is required to run SweeperScore. The 2010 and later expanded versions will require Excel 2007 or later. The designer of SweeperScore has regularly run this software on a laptop PC to score sweepers for leagues from the Sacramento, CA area bowling sweepers in Reno, Nevada. SweeperScore was created by a bowler for bowlers and league secretaries who want something easier to use at a reasonable price. It was designed primarily for handling league sweepers but note below how it can also handle certain other events, depending on their size. League secretaries said they couldn't find software to handle all the sweeper events they wanted to run. They wanted to run special, fun events. And when they could find software for some of the events, it was expensive. And there were surcharges for scoring larger leagues. And you had to buy several different programs if you wanted to run a variety of events off the same scores. And all that was ridiculously expensive. So we listened and programmed all of the desired events into SweeperScore, flexible software that can handle quite a variety of standard and unique events. SweeperScore computes the results very fast. You can have the results within seconds - before the last bowler to finish has his/her street shoes on. SweeperScore can handle teams of 3, 4, or 5 bowlers for the team event. SweeperScore can handle large leagues. Unlike with other software, no premium is charged for leagues larger than some small number of teams like 16. SweeperScore can handle 60 teams. The only size limitation for the team event is you may not exceed 200 men or 200 women for the team event. Have a huge mixed league with 56 teams of 5 (280 bowlers) with 150 men and 130 women and you want to have a team sweeper on the last night of league? No problem and no extra charge. It is high time to put a stop to leagues and league secretaries being gouged by predatory software manufacturers. The side events scored by SweeperScore can also handle fairly large numbers of bowlers so this software can even be used to score singles and/or doubles events whether or not they are connected to a league. But please take note of SuperSingles - which is separate software - for handling truly huge singles events. And if you have Excel 2007 or later, look at SuperSingles-n-Doubles. The mixed doubles feature of SweeperScore Pro will work for leagues having no more than 100 men and 100 women and will handle all possible pairings of those persons, i.e. what is often referred to as a round-robin format. Generic doubles (possible pairing with anyone in the league, regardless of sex) will work for leagues having no more than 125 men and 125 women. Men's and women's singles can each handle up to 200 bowlers. Men's and women's doubles can each handle up to 120 bowlers and a round-robin format of all possible pairings. It would be a rare league that would exceed these size limitations, but I received a few calls during April and May 2008 and again in early 2009 about such leagues, so see below. If you have such a league and can't find software to handle your huge sweeper, contact us, give us some lead time, and we'll see what we can do. The current version of SweeperScore is 3.7. Later versions of SweeperScore Pro will have even larger capacities and additional features. The next version has kept getting delayed because of inquiries about possible features to add. I have also been writing other 2010 era applications. I have been experimenting with various ideas and will eventually put all of the practical ones together in a package and produce a newer version of SweeperScore to be called SuperSweeperScore, with many more features and capabilities than the 3.7 version. And I also have a day job to do, although this is a heckuva lot more fun. The next version will require Excel 2007. If, amazingly, you have more men or more women in your league than the maximum number that can be scored by version 3.7 for the event involved, the current mixed doubles, generic doubles, regular doubles, regular singles, etc., as applicable will not work for you. However ..... Note the following in regard to larger leagues or events: Due to several inquires starting during April and May 2008, from the Los Angeles and Las Vegas areas, in particular, a larger and/or more features version of SweeperScore Pro is under construction with expansion and new features ideas still under consideration. Tentatively it, or a later version, will allow mixed doubles to score all 200 men and all 200 women in that round-robin type event, thus scoring up to 40,000 possible combinations within seconds. Some expansion of the generic doubles is also contemplated soon. Men's and women's doubles capacity will also be expanded in this upgrade or a later upgrade. Several other features are also being considered for addition to the software and some already have beta test versions that are being tested by current customers. This may include an integrated payout calculator (RCP DivvyItUp!) that can instantly determine the payouts for the top 5, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, or 50 places with two or more types of distributions for the 10 and larger distributions. This payout calculator will be integrated into various worksheets such as the mixed doubles so that you could even take money from a last second entrant and recalculate the payouts for that event in seconds. A non-integrated 2.0 MEGA version of RCP DivvyItUp! is now available for $20 (except the beta testers got it for free) with any new purchase of SweeperScore 3.7, if you provide your e-mail address. It scores far more distributions. DivvyItUp! is also available by independent purchase for $39.95 or as part of the next version of SweeperScore Pro or as part of SuperSingles 1.3, which is now available. The "in seconds" last second recalculation is possible if you have entered every man with every woman and every woman with every man. If you have used the opt-in approach, it might take a few minutes longer to enter the specific pairings but the recalc of the payouts will still be instantaneous. Please note again that if you have Excel 2007 or later, there will be special versions of early RCP Software favorites created to run on this engine that will have MASSIVE capabilities. A couple of these highly advanced applications are already done so be sure to ask about that if you have Excel 2007. Depending on how many features are added, the price of the upcoming enhanced version called SuperSweeperScore may range up to $139.95. Even after the next version of SweeperScore Pro is on the market, the 3.7 versions of SweeperScore Pro, Standard, and Mini will still be available at the prices set forth below. You might want to consider them unless you need all the features of the next version of SweeperScore.
California residents must add sales tax to the above prices, currently 8.25%. Note that although this software was originally designed for scoring league sweepers, you can use SweeperScore to score a men's or women's singles and/or doubles event, or even a team event, or a fun hi-low doubles event, or a mixed or generic doubles event, whether the bowlers are connected to a league or not. Just note the limitations described here on the number of bowlers in each event. For larger singles or doubles tournaments or qualifying events that do not involve teams, please ask about software that is currently under development to handle such events. It will also be inexpensive. RCP SuperSingles 1.3 is already available that can run on Excel 2002/2003 and can handle up to 3,000 bowlers bowling up to 40 games at a price that is far less than charged by the competition for far less capacity. It even calculates payouts. Even larger singles capacity can be custom ordered and a larger 2010 version is already done. The 2010 version requires Excel 2007. It is called SuperSingles-n-Doubles. It can handle 4,000 singles bowlers and 8,000 doubles bowlers. It also has advanced features, including the ability to handle Mulligan events. It was written to fill requests received from Kansas, New York, Missouri, and California. You may view the SweeperScore 3.7 User's Manual from 2009 now if you wish. Here are some screenshots Of SweeperScore Pro 3.7: Games & Totals; Mixed Doubles; Teams of Four. Each copy of SweeperScore is customized and sent to you on a CD.
