| RCP SuperSweeperScore™ is a highly sophisticated, New Generation Microsoft Excel-based spreadsheet application that quickly scores your bowling league sweepers or sweeper-like tournaments. It also handles singles and doubles events up to fairly large size. It runs on a standard Windows PC outfitted with Microsoft Excel 2007 or later, a basic component of Microsoft Office. Many standard computers come with these applications already installed. SuperSweeperScore is the New Generation line of SweeperScore products. The original SweeperScore (which runs on Excel 2002 or 2003) has been widely run on laptop computers. It is still available if you do not yet have Excel 2007 or later installed on your computer. Request a demo of SuperSweeperScore by clicking here. Ask for the demo of SuperSweeperScore and we will send it to you promptly by return e-mail. You may want to also request a demo version of DivvyItUp! for quickly calculating prize fund payouts. Generally speaking, "sweepers" are special events held at the end of a league season where bowlers bowl with their regular team (and often in a different location such as Reno, or Las Vegas), but the games bowled (usually 3, but this software will handle up to 8) are scored in multiple ways. By way of contrast, standard tournaments have separately bowled singles, doubles, and team events and generally have an all-events total. That kind of tournament is handled by TourneyScore. The SweeperScore line of software is very flexible so it can also be used during the league season to handle a variety of special events such as St. Patrick's Day Doubles, or Witch & Wizard Doubles at Halloween or whatever you want to call a sweeper tournament bowled right in the middle of the league, using the night's games. It will also handle many local area special events such as a doubles or singles event of small to fairly large size so it will serve the needs of many bowling centers running such events. For software with much larger capacities and/or additional capabilities for bowling centers, associations, tournament clubs, etc., as well as useful utility applications, please also look at:
SuperSingles 1.3 (will run on Excel 2002 or 2003) TourneyScore BowlerTracker DivvyItUp! (both Excel 2007-based and earlier Excel 2002/2003-based versions available) Development of the SuperSweeperScore line of products will continue rapidly, with preference in adding features or capacities directed toward those items specified by customers who place pre-orders. Have a feature in mind that you don't see here? Contact us. The 2011 version was completed in January 2011. It allows customers to personalize their version of SuperSweeperScore to add only the modules they need from Generic Singles, Generic Doubles, Men's & Women's Doubles, Men's & Women's Singles, additional team events, and Hi-Low Doubles, to the Basic edition (one team event + mixed doubles), which now has a very low base price. Here is an outline of what the various SuperSweeperScore 2011 scoring modules can handle: The Generic Doubles module is powered by 3,159,000 lines of computational code. It is therefore highly recommended that you have at least 2GB of RAM if you want to use that module and have it run quickly. With SuperSweeperScore, you can have results on-the-spot in seconds, even for complex events like Mixed Doubles or Generic Doubles involving tens of thousands of possible combinations of hundreds of bowlers. No more waiting for results!!! The SuperSweeperScore line of bowling data management products expands considerably on the features of the SweeperScore Classic line of products and increases some capacities. For those already acquainted with SweeperScore, the primary capacity increase is that all editions of SuperSweeperScore 2010 and later will now score up to 8 games instead of just the classic 3 games we have all become used to bowling over the years. This basic expansion was requested by bowling events managers from a number of states. The number of games to be bowled is easily variable and total handicaps are automatically recalculated based on your specification of the number of games to be bowled. In some of the special non- team side events such as mixed doubles, generic doubles, generic singles, and men's and women's singles, each game can now be scored independently, enabling special jackpots, mystery game events, or other imaginative individual game events, or whatever you want to call them for each game, with scoring being either scratch or handicap. And the non-team events include additional opt-in sidepots, also scored scratch or handicap. All versions and editions of SuperSweeperScore now include an EasyEnter feature that allows the event manager to quickly (is 3 seconds fast enough?) enter a bowler into or remove a bowler from round-robin versions of any of the special side events such as mixed doubles, men's singles, women's doubles, etc. If you want to randomly pair doubles partners for an event such as a "mystery doubles" or "pot luck doubles," please check the box for that on our handy order form that you can print out and mail with your check. SuperSweeperScore has been specially set up to work with BowlerTracker, a special tracking tool for use by tournament club managers and local center/association managers. It also works with DivvyItUp! which determines prize fund payouts. SuperSweeperScore has an embedded self-teaching tutorial. The User's Manual is literally contained within the software. It is recommended that you have a current computer, with a fast processor, and 2GB or more of RAM to run this software. The Generic Doubles module will require those levels in order to make at least certain parts of that module run snappily. The designer of SuperSweeperScore regularly ran earlier versions of this software (SweeperScore Classic) on a laptop PC to score sweepers for leagues from the Sacramento, CA area bowling sweepers in Reno, Nevada. It has been used across the country to score fairly large events of both the sweeper type and special standalone type. The SweeperScore line of products was created by a bowler for bowlers, league secretaries, bowling centers, and bowling events managers who wanted something that is fast and easier to use while still being available at a reasonable price. The original series was designed primarily for handling league sweepers but note below (and as outlined in the table above) how it can also handle certain other special events, up to fairly large size. SuperSweeperScore can handle very large leagues or similar type groups and has capabilities such that it may be the only kind of software that a bowling center, tournament club manager, or league secretary needs to own to run a wide variety of local area events and be able to score them on the spot. The SweeperScore products were originally created because league secretaries said they couldn't find software to handle all the sweeper events they wanted to run. They wanted to run special, fun events. And when they could find software for some of the events, it was expensive. And it was hard to use. And there were exorbitant surcharges for scoring even moderately larger leagues or groups like tournament clubs. And you had to buy several different programs if you wanted to run a variety of events off the same scores. And all that was ridiculously expensive and hard to use. So we listened and programmed all of the desired events into SweeperScore, and now into SuperSweeperScore, flexible, powerful software that can handle quite a variety of standard and unique events. Like the earlier versions, SuperSweeperScore 2010 computes the results very fast. You can have the results within seconds - before the last bowler to finish has his/her street shoes on. SweeperScore Classic scored a huge mixed doubles event in Las Vegas that stretched almost all the way across a huge bowling center and did it in less than 5 seconds. Another league secretary there told me he had his sweeper scored before all the bowlers had their street shoes on. SuperSweeperScore can handle teams of 3, 4, or 5 bowlers for the team events. SuperSweeperScore can handle very large leagues. Unlike with other software, no premium is charged for leagues or groups larger than some small number of teams like 16. The only size limitation for the team event is you may not exceed 200 men or 200 women for the team event if you are simultaneously running any mixed events where men and women are scored or grouped separately. Have a huge mixed league with 56 teams of 5 (280 bowlers) with 150 men and 130 women and you want to have a team sweeper on the last night of league? Or do you have a huge men's or women's league with more than 300 bowlers? Or maybe you'd like to run a local singles or doubles event and you have 310 bowlers and the vulture geeks are quoting you $500 or $799 for software that's even hard to use, to boot? No problem, no extra charge, and RCP Software's products are easy to use. It is high time to put a stop to leagues, league secretaries, tournament managers, and bowling centers being gouged by predatory software manufacturers. Note carefully that the side non-team events scored by SuperSweeperScore 2011 can also handle fairly large numbers of bowlers so this software can even be used to score singles and/or doubles events whether or not they are connected to a league. But please also take note of SuperSingles-n-Doubles - which is separate software - for handling truly huge singles and doubles events. It also requires Excel 2007 or later. Designed in 2010, it can handle more than 4,000 singles bowlers and more than 8,000 doubles bowlers bowling anywhere from 1 to 114 games. It thus can handle marathon events as well as regional and even statewide or multi-state events. It also has a Mulligan feature, an auto-logic feature for calculating running averages, and other advanced data management features. Results can be determined on the spot, in seconds. And also take note of TourneyScore 2010 which handles standard (teams-singles-doubles-all events) tournaments for larger numbers of bowlers. Let's take a further look at some of the features of SuperSweeperScore 2010. The Mixed Doubles feature of SuperSweeperScore 2011 will work for leagues having no more than 100 men and 100 women and will handle all 10,000 possible pairings of those persons, i.e. what is often referred to as a round-robin format. Each of the up to 8 games can be rank-ordered independently, either scratch or handicap, as well as series total. There is an additional sidepot feature as well as a one-pair-enters-at-a-time (Opt-in) feature that some leagues or groups prefer to use. Generic Doubles (possible pairing with anyone in the league, regardless of gender), will work for mixed leagues having no more than 200 men and 125 women, assuming you are also scoring some gender-dependent events at the same time from the same scores. However, if you are not also scoring such gender-dependent events off the same scores, then the gender- based limits do not apply and you will be able to handle up to all 52,650 possible combinations of any 325 bowlers, thus allowing you to score a huge men's, or women's, or gender-disregarded round-robin doubles event. Adding this module adds an enormous amount of computing code to the application so don't order it unless you plan to use it and have a computer capable of doing so. Men's and women's singles can each handle up to 200 bowlers. These two events can be scored simultaneously and separately, using the scores from the same set of games you bowled together in the team event. You can now rank-order each game (up to 8 games) independently, scratch and handicap, as well as the series total. A Generic Singles feature can handle up to 400 bowlers. If you are also running gender-specific events off a common set of scores, this special feature will treat the men and women the same. It can rank-order each game up to 8 games, independently, both scratch and handicap, as well as series total. Note carefully that this feature could thus handle a fairly large standalone singles event (up to 400 bowlers) so with this module, you won't need separate software to handle such an event having 201-400 bowlers. Men's and Women's Doubles modules can each handle up to 120 bowlers and a round-robin format of all 7,140 possible pairings of those 120 bowlers. You can also use the Opt-in feature for entering one pair at a time. Individual games can be rank-ordered, and by scratch or handicap, as well as series totals. There is an additional sidepot feature. It is anticipated that later versions of SuperSweeperScore will increase the capacities. There is also a special Hi-Low Doubles scoring module. In this event, the highest average bowler in the league is paired with the lowest average bowler. Second highest with second lowest. Etc. A number of leagues used the initial version of this feature in the earlier SweeperScore Pro 3.7 and told me it was a ball. The SuperSweeperScore version will be enhanced over the prior version, probably in the 2012 version. It would be a rare league or local group that would exceed any of the size limitations described above, but I received a few calls about such leagues or groups, particularly tournament clubs, so see below. If you have such a league or group such as a tournament club or regional association that runs special events and can't find software that can score your huge sweeper or sweeper-like event, or your doubles, singles or other special type event, on-the-spot, don't buy anything else, contact us, give us some lead time, and we'll see what we can do. Several other features are also being considered for addition to the New Generation SuperSweeperScore line of software products and some already have beta test versions that are being tested by current customers. A generic extension to allow the software to allow even larger (more than 400 bowlers) singles events that are not gender- specific, or are being run as standalone events, is also under consideration. This will likely be targeted at bowling centers and be part of a special line of products for bowling centers. If you have special requirements in this regard, or have any other ideas for events you would like to run but can't run now and can't score them on the spot because of software limitations, call us right away and tell us your situation. Even though the SuperSweeperScore 2011 customizable product is now on the market, the 3.7 versions of SweeperScore Pro, Standard, and Mini that only required Excel 2002 or later, will still be available at the prices set forth in the price list. You might want to consider them unless you need all the features of the next generation versions of SweeperScore. Note that although this line of software was originally designed for scoring league sweepers, you can use SweeperScore or SuperSweeperScore to score a standalone men's or women's singles and/or doubles event, or even a standalone team event, or a fun hi-low doubles event, or a mixed or generic doubles event, whether the bowlers are connected to a league or not. Just note the limitations described here on the number of bowlers in each event. For even larger singles or doubles tournaments or qualifying events that do not involve teams, please ask about other software that is currently available or under development to handle such events. It is also quite inexpensive. The Classic Line RCP SuperSingles 1.3 will run on Excel 2002/2003 and can handle up to 3,000 bowlers bowling up to 40 games at a price that is far less than charged by the competition for far less capacity. It even calculates payouts. A larger 2010 version is already done, requiring Excel 2007 or later. It is called SuperSingles-n-Doubles. It can handle 4,000 singles bowlers and 8,000 doubles bowlers. It also has advanced features, including the ability to handle Mulligan events. It was written to fill requests received from Kansas, New York, Missouri, Florida, and California. RCP Software has already started to create center-level, association-level, state-level, and national tournament level tools capable of handling situations like 50,000 bowlers from 35 states with the ability to keep running standings and be able to produce a final result within seconds after the last bowlers have turned in their score sheets. The current version of TourneyScore (for handling standard singles-doubles-teams-all-events tournaments) handles up to 1,000 bowlers in a single supermodule and if you add the Composite Results tool (for $30) you can scale up to 30,000 bowers. If you are in the market for such tools, don't buy anything! Call and talk to us. Tell us what you want. Tell us about what you have seen on the market, what's wrong with it, the cost, etc. The first edition of the first version of TourneyScore is already on the market for a mere $69.95! If you need to score some special bowling event that cannot be handled by SweeperScore or SuperSweeperScore or any other event scoring software that appears on this Web site, call me, describe what you want, and give me a little lead time.
