A Little Bit About Our Approach To Achieving Good Software Solutions We approach solutions by talking to those in need of good software, particularly those who will be the daily users. We listen to those potential users, learn about business processes that need to be computerized, and set up prototypes. Then we pay close attention to feedback from those who are the hands-on users. This approach has worked in several diverse areas, seemingly not connected to each other except by the common bond of the need for good data management software. And the results have been bug-free software that is intuitive to the end-user, easy to use, and extremely powerful and versatile. And yes, we initially primarily directed our efforts toward producing data management software to assist bowling league secretaries, bowling organization officials, and, of course, bowlers. But we have offered customized software services in other areas as well, particularly those where there is a desperate need for good data management software and often a lot of misinformation circulating about what can be done with modern tools and methods to create customized software. Government is particularly in need of good and inexpensive software these days. We have generally refrained from selling any of our established products using on-line payment methods because almost every piece of software is customized to some extent for the customer. We pride ourselves on providing precision solutions that solve data management problems with pinpoint accuracy. You can custom order established products by selecting and paying for just the modules you desire, using our product order form. And we encourage potential customers to call and ask questions if they are unsure of the best product for their situation. Earlier, we demonstrated the RCP CALCRIM jury instructions assembly tool, a demonstration of modular interlocking software that will construct criminal case jury instructions for California criminal trials. All you need to use it is Microsoft Word. The core data for such a tool could easily be updated from time to time by clerical staff, at minimal expense, thus allowing a public agency such as California's Administrative Office of the Courts, headquartered in San Francisco, to provide such software and core information FREE to lawyers, litigants, and local court administration. Or they could actually ease up on their copyright claims and allow companies like RCP Software to sell the instructions along with a modern tool to assemble the instructions for a jury and for an all- electronic record. By eliminating paper, and streamlining the processes involved, the potential savings to state court systems, lawyers, litigants, and taxpayers is huge. We can also create automated fill-in forms to order. We also produced a very useful set of applications for an engineering tech assistant to use on a hardened field computer. The software made complex calculations and instantly produced a thumbs up thumbs down determination regarding the extent of soil compaction. The assistant, a friend, was working for a company doing a highway overpass/exit. What are your needs? Call us and let us help you. |
