Version 2.0 MEGA of RCP DivvyItUp! software for calculating payouts
instantly is the version that has been available for several years and runs on
Excel 2002 or later. Don't worry about it being a .0 version because none of
RCP Software's 1.0 versions of anything have ever had a single bug (code
execution error problem) in them. Later versions, such as the 2010 version
described below, will simply have more features or slight variations on
present features. If you do not have Excel 2007 or later, this 2.0 Mega
version is the version you must use.
The initial 1.0 version of this software was created quickly in May 2008
because of several conversations I had in early May 2008 with league
secretaries inquiring about SweeperScore and wondering if there was any
way to calculate payouts quickly. They wanted in particular to be able to
gracefully handle situations where bowlers walked up at the last minute,
offered their entry money, and wanted to get into an event that was just about
to start. League secretaries and tournament directors didn't want to
recalculate prize fund amounts continuously at the last minute in such
situations and commonly told people they were out of luck. But they would
like to have been able to let the people in. So I sat down at my computer and
created RCP DivvyItUp!
Now you can forget about having to spend hours with a committee trying to
figure out how to divide a $673 prize fund among 20 people you want to have
in the money, or figuring out a payout list for a $7600 prize fund to be
distributed among those placing from 1st to 50th. RCP DivvyItUp! will
calculate the payouts instantly. Just enter the total prize fund for the event in
the insertion window and press any cursor arrow. Look to the right and pick
the distribution you like.
The initial version was well received and requests came for an expanded
version. Most people still didn't have Excel 2007 so the second version was
created to also run on top of Excel 2002 or later.
Version 2.0 MEGA of RCP DivvyItUp!, which was written to run on Excel
2002 or 2003, will calculate payouts for 5, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50,
80, and 150 places. It may also be run in Compatibility Mode in Excel 2007
although if you have Excel 2007, look farther down this page to learn about
the newer 2010 version which is the same price but has far more advanced
features. The 2.0 MEGA version is suitable for calculating payouts for prize
funds ranging from very small amounts up to tens of thousands of dollars.
Some of these payout distributions have several different sub-distributions
for top-weighted payouts, mid-type payouts, and more evenly distributed
payouts. You just pick the one that floats your boat. If you have a suggestion
for a slightly different distribution, contact us. However, new distributions and
other features will only be added to the 2010 and later versions.

league secretaries, tournament directors, bowling association officials, and

version to be called DivvyItUp! 2010 is undergoing beta testing. It requires

20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 80, and 150 winners at a minimum.
The price will be the same as for the earlier versions designed for Excel 2002
& 2003. When fully written, it is intended to handle tournaments ranging from
very small up to those with thousands of entrants and with prize funds
running into six figures. A usable beta version is available right now. If you
purchase it, and the 2010 version is further expanded after your purchase,
just check back with us and we will supply you with the latest version at no
additional charge. Remember that you must have Excel 2007 or later to run
this very advanced software.
If you are running a huge tournament such as a state or regional
tournament, and need payout calculation software in a hurry, and
payouts of 80 or 150 places isn't enough or you have some special
need and the available payouts don't seem to fill your need, and you
don't want to be gouged by vendors selling current software at
